The University of Wisconsin regents reversed their decision and voted to accept an agreement with Republican lawmakers.
The deal, exchanging 800 million-dollars for employee raises, a new engineering building at the Madison campus, and additional funding for various needs, includes repurposing just over 40 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) administrators.
Three regents changed their stance, with the vote taking place after a previous rejection on Saturday.
