In a child molestation case, a Rusk County man, 63-year-old Scott Read, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for sexually assaulting at least three young girls.
Prosecutors revealed that Read initiated the abuse when one victim was between the ages of five and six.
Threats were reportedly used to silence the victim and prevent disclosure.
Read entered a no-contest plea to the charges earlier this year.
