A Madison resident, Messiah Fleming, has been handed a four-year prison sentence for his involvement in the distribution of fentanyl.
Fleming, caught on a wiretap in 2022 engaging with a drug trafficker, consistently ordered large quantities of pills.
Later that year, during a routine traffic stop prompted by incorrect license plates, Fleming instructed a passenger to flee the scene.
Law enforcement discovered fentanyl, falsely labeled as oxycodone, and a loaded firearm in the vehicle.
Fleming entered a guilty plea to all charges in September of this year.
