Bail is set at $1,000 recognizance for an 18-year-old Manitowoc man caught on a police security camera “live feed” with a sword and several other bladed weapons at the front entrance of The Manitowoc Police Department.
Victor W. Neumann is charged officially with One count each of Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Officers noticed Neumann standing in front of the Department entrance early Monday morning with a sword on his back.
He said he knew of someone there who was locked up and wanted to know why. Neumann cooperated by putting his weapons on the ground and was taken into custody.
He also admitted to drinking twelve Twisted Teas and said he was heavily armed because his opponents had mugged him in the past, and wanted to protect himself. No one was hurt.
Conditions of bail are that Neumann is not to possess any dangerous weapons and maintain absolute sobriety.
His initial appearance is scheduled for January 8th at 1:30.
