Tragedy struck in the town of Bergen on Friday afternoon as 47-year-old Laurel Wicks lost her life in a collision.
According to Vernon County deputies, Wicks crashed her vehicle into the rear of a dump truck that was making a turn into a driveway.
Although Wicks, originally from South Dakota with previous ties to La Crosse, died at the scene, the sheriff’s office is actively investigating the incident.
