A Manitowoc man has been sentenced in an armed robbery and drug case from 2021.
34-year-old Alex Goines was ordered by Judge Mark Rohrer to spend 18 years in prison followed by 22 years on extended supervision after he was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on charges of Armed Robbery, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and False Imprisonment with Use of a Dangerous Weapon.
Additional charges of Armed Robbery, two counts of Possession of a Firearm as a Felon, and six counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping were dismissed but read into the record.
Goines was arrested after he robbed the Boost Mobile store in downtown Manitowoc at gunpoint.
Goines was given credit for 693 days served in jail, but he was also ordered to pay nearly $4,000 in restitution to the store, along with all court costs and supervision fees.
