The Roncalli boys basketball team held off a visiting New Holstein squad 66-47.
The Huskies started out strong, taking an early 5-point lead, but the Jets would roar back and hold a 38-24 lead at the break and held on to take the 19-point win.
Matthew Bonin led the home squad with 23, while Landon Chalupny had 15 and Donavan Cowley netted 11.
New Holstein’s Keaton Wagner kept pace with Bonin, also scoring 23 in a losing effort. With the win, Roncalli improves to 1-2 on the season, while New Holstein slips to 1-4.
Up next for the Jets is a road contest in Two Rivers, while the Huskies will be at Valders.
Both of those games will be played Friday night.
