A few local basketball teams have flexed their muscles during the first few weeks of the season.
Starting with the girls, Manitowoc Lincoln has been rolling offensively, scoring 266 points through four games.
Their only blemish is a 77-36 loss at Notre Dame, who themselves haven’t had many issues putting the ball in the basket.
In fact, in their latest matchup at Sheboygan North, the Tritons put up 103 points. The Ships girls will be back in action on Tuesday at Oshkosh North.
On the boys’ side of things, Manitowoc Lutheran has won all three of their games by 10 or more, scoring 214 points while allowing 166.
The Lancers will be on the road Friday as they take on the Mishicot Indians. Reedsville, ranked number 8 in the latest Division 5 coaches poll, is also unbeaten in two games, having just beaten Random Lake 66-28 last Friday.
They will look to make it three in a row Friday as they host a 3-1 Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah squad.
The Brillion Lions have also dominated in their three games, winning the first two by at least 35, and their latest by 16.
They are invading Dick Nelson Court in Valders on Tuesday, while the 3-0 Kiel Raiders are set to host Chilton at the same time.
In fact, the Lions and Raiders both made the latest coaches poll, coming in at #5 and #6, respectively, in the Division 3 rankings.
