The Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra is putting on a family-friendly holiday concert, titled “Let’s Sing with Santa!” on December 10th at 3:00 p.m. at the Capitol Civic Centre.
It’s a chance to feel the holiday spirit with your community, while listening to the symphony perform music by Robert Shaw, Haydn, and classic carols by John Rutter.
The concert will feature special guests, including the Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale and the Lincoln High School chamber choir, who will perform John Rutter’s carols.
There will also be local celebrity soloists playing toys for Haydn’s “Toy Symphony”, and a story by Hans Christian Anderson set to Bizet’s music.
The doors will open at 2:00 p.m. for photos with Santa and free entry for kids 8 and under.
In addition to the concert, the MSO has teamed up with the Courthouse Pub to offer a post-concert dinner for dine-in or curbside pick-up, priced at $38 per person. One other holiday activity the MSO will be participating in is a Christmas cookie fundraising sale.
For $40, a tray of 3 dozen homemade cookies, can be delivered to your home between December 20th and the 22nd.
The proceeds will go to the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra. There will also be an MSO Holiday Cash Raffle Fundraiser.
A total of 200 tickets will be sold for $100 each. The winners stand a chance to win cash prizes of $2,000 for one winner, $1,000 each for two winners, and $500 each for two winners.
The drawing will be held at the Capitol Civic Centre on December 11th and you do not need to be present to win.
Tickets can be purchased in person at various locations, by e-mailing the MSO, or by contacting Peggy Pitz at 920-684-3492.
