A residential fire in the Town of Sheboygan on Wednesday (November 29th) is being blamed on the improper disposal of smoking materials.
Fire crews were dispatched to the fire in an apartment on Oakdale Court at around 1:00 p.m., where they found a porch on the second floor fully engulfed and the flames spreading to the apartment and the attic.
All residents were evacuated before crews took down the fire.
In total, an estimated $100,000 in damage was caused, with the Red Cross called in to assist the now-displaced residents. No injuries were reported.
