
The UW Green Bay men’s basketball team is starting their Horizon League season 0-1 after a close loss to Fort Wayne last night.
The Mastodons took advantage of numerous Phoenix fouls to earn a 75-71 win.
Free throws were the big difference as Fort Wayne made 19 of their 25 attempts while UWGB only took 9 free throws making 6.
Noah Reynolds led the Phoenix with 16 points with Clarence Cummings III adding 12, and Elijah Jones netting 11.
UWGB will be back in action on Saturday when they host UW Milwaukee at the Resch Center.
The Phoenix women will be in Milwaukee tonight taking on the Panthers.
