A Manitowoc man was once again caught driving without a valid driver’s license.
An officer reported seeing the 51-year-old man driving east on Calumet Avenue just before 8:00 Monday night (November 27th) and recognized him from previous contacts.
The officer knew the individual had a suspended license, so he conducted a traffic stop in the Hobby Lobby parking lot.
The man claimed the Manitowoc Police Department was picking on him, however, a check with dispatch confirmed his license was revoked, that he had several warrants out for his arrest, and that he was supposed to have an ignition interlock device installed in his car, which he did not.
The man was detained without further incident and is facing charges of Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device, Operating After Revocation, his third offense, and six counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
