Governor Tony Evers’ office is justifying his use of a secret government email account, identified as warren.sphan@wisconsin.gov.
Reports confirm the governor’s utilization of this email for communication with top state officials.
Critics, including Republican lawmakers and government reform groups, argue that such secrecy is unnecessary, calling for the release of the 17,000 emails sent from his alternate account.
The governor’s spokesperson contends that the use of the Warren Spahn email provides added “digital security” through an email alias.
