Eau Claire’s 911 dispatchers now possess the ability to send texts and receive live videos as part of the Prepared Live 911 system.
Operational for the past two weeks, the system aims to provide dispatchers and first responders with more information about ongoing incidents.
Dispatch director Greg Rosno explains that dispatchers can send a link to callers, activating their phone’s camera and offering authorities a live view of the situation.
