An Appleton man will be spending some time in prison for his role in a child porn case.
37-year-old Shaun C. Meyer was ordered to spend 10 years in prison and to spend the rest of his life on supervised release after being convicted of distributing images and videos depicting sexual abuse of children.
The investigation into Meyer began in May 2022 when Facebook submitted a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following a thorough investigation, Meyer was arrested in March 2023, and investigators seized several devices containing the images and photos.
Meyer admitted to distributing the material in a Facebook group and said he would look at the videos and pictures for about four hours each day.
