Wisconsin is considering a legislative package called Healthy Herd Healthy Hunt, which aims to keep the deer population healthy.
The main focus is on preventing chronic waste disease, which targets the nervous system of deer, moose, and elk.
The package includes several provisions, such as investing two million dollars in research, testing, and management of CWD, as well as another two million for deer carcass disposal sites.
