A Manitowoc grandma who was arrested in connection to a child abuse case has been sentenced.
55-year-old Kristine A. Jordan was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of Chronic Neglect of a Child, Consequence is Great Bodily Harm, and was ordered by Judge Mark Rohrer to spend five years on probation.
She was detained alongside her daughter, Samantha Jordan after the child was taken to a local hospital in 2022.
The child was said to be severely malnourished and tested positive for cocaine.
The child was being cared for by both Kristine and Samantha, who also tested positive for the drug.
Samantha was also found guilty on the same charge due to a no-contest plea and was also placed on probation for 5 years back in October.
