A local biker group focused on helping veterans has made a donation to a statewide organization.
The Patriot Riders of America, WI Chapter 2, recently presented a $1,800 check to representatives from Desert Veterans of Wisconsin as they look to continue to promote patriotism in our community by showing support for all veterans, their organizations, and service members of the United States Armed Forces.
The money was raised during the first annual Dustin J. Knapp Memorial Car/Bike Show, named after a family member of a couple of the Patriot Riders.
Tommy Knapp, Dustin’s father and president of the Patriot Riders tells Seehafer News that “Dustin served 2 tours in Afghanistan in the United States Army before he was killed while home on leave. I believe he would have wanted us to continue to support Desert Veterans of Wisconsin.”
The second iteration of the benefit has also been announced for August 10th, 2024 at Crazy 8 Bar in Tisch Mills, with Desert Veterans of Wisconsin again named as the beneficiary.
