Home prices continue to be up, and sales continue to be down in Eastern Wisconsin.
According to the monthly report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the average price for a home in Manitowoc County in October was $213,000, which is over 25% higher than the nearly $170,000 reported in the same month last year.
Additionally, sales are down significantly.
77 homes were sold last month compared to 97 in October 2022, and they are staying on the market for an average of 63 days, which is five days longer than last year.
The statewide numbers are on a similar trend, albeit not as extreme.
The median price for a home around the state of Wisconsin was at $280,000 last month, up from $260,000 last year while the number of sales fell from 6,392 to 5,932 over the 12-month span.
