A Two Rivers woman is going to be in prison for a while after she was convicted in several cases.
Melissa L. Groothoff pleaded guilty in all three cases, including one where she hit another woman over the head with a brick.
In total, she was convicted on charges of Battery, Manufacturing or Delivering a Schedule I or II Narcotic, and Conspiracy to Manufacture or Deliver an Amphetamine.
She has been ordered by Judge Mark Rohrer to spend 60 days in the Manitowoc County Jail on the Battery charge, three years in prison on the manufacturing or delivering charge, and five more years in prison on the conspiracy charge.
Groothoff will also spend nine years on extended supervision upon her release.
She was detained in March of 2021 after she and another woman engaged in an altercation at the victim’s house.
During that altercation, she struck the victim over the head with a brick, leading to her being treated at a local hospital.
