Manitowoc County Ag Educator Angie Ulness
Manitowoc County Ag Educator Angie Ulness is reminding farmers to be safe while working.
She unfortunately had an accident where her leg got trapped by a feed cart on her dairy farm in Valders.
She ended up in the ER, but Ulness assured us, “My leg isn’t broken, my pride maybe is because farm girls aren’t supposed to get hurt or think of other things will working on equipment.”
She reminds everyone in the agricultural industry to be safe.
“Just like any business I challenge you to have First-Aid Kits nearby,” she says. “Also, phone numbers for you and your time for everyone to call in case something does happen.”
She says it doesn’t matter if you are a dairy producer or if you own a business with employees because an accident can happen in a split second.
Make sure to always have safe working and equipment conditions.
