The longtime executive director of Manitowoc’s Lighthouse Recovery Community Center has resigned.
The organization’s board of directors made the announcement Thursday that Christma Rusch, who founded Lighthouse and has served as executive director since 2018, is ending her time at Lighthouse.
While Rusch is stepping down from her leadership role, she will continue to work part-time with Lighthouse.
Her new primary focus will be the building of another community recovery center in Sheboygan.
She also recently launched CRusched Smash & Art Studio in Manitowoc, which hosts the only smash room in the city.
Lighthouse Operations Director Beth Snyder will be taking the lead as the board begins its search for a new executive director.
