Dontae Payne
A Kaukauna man charged in a 2021 homicide has been convicted.
29-year-old Dontae Payne was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of 2nd Degree Intentional Homicide while a charge of Armed Robbery was dismissed but read into the record.
Payne is set to be sentenced on February 2nd, where he could be ordered to spend 60 years in prison.
He was arrested shortly after the killing of Brian Porsche in a home on West Division Street in March 2021.
31-year-old Tanya Stammer was also arrested, although she has already been sentenced to 23 years in prison for her role.
The duo broke into the home, Payne shot Porsche, and they staged the area to look like a break-in gone wrong.
They also threw his phone and keys into Lake Winnebago to help cover their tracks.
