Wisconsin’s governor brought the ongoing dispute over Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) funding at the University of Wisconsin to Eau Claire campus.
Governor Evers, during his visit to the university’s medical lab, reiterated his call for Republican lawmakers to release the $32 million currently held at the Capitol pending the university’s policy changes.
He emphasized that withholding funds would hinder the University of Wisconsin’s improvement and asserted that the institution requires the allocated money to effectively educate the next generation of Wisconsin residents.
