A convicted sex offender is being released from prison and will be residing in Manitowoc.
According to the Manitowoc Police Department, Michael J. Tauschek is slated to be released on November 21st and will be living in a home in the 1100 block of South 19th Street.
He was previously convicted of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault and Strangulation/Suffocation.
He has served his sentence as imposed by the courts and is not wanted by police at this time.
Any attempts to harass, intimidate, or threaten Tauschek will not be tolerated.
The Manitowoc Police Department releases this information not to cause fear in the community, but rather to ensure the community is as informed as possible.
