Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu
On the final day of the current legislative session in the State Senate, several key bills were passed, including the controversial Milwaukee Brewers Bill.
Sen. Devin LeMahieu explained that these bills all passed after “months of negotiation”, and they “will keep Major League Baseball in Wisconsin through 2050, provide regulatory clarity and certainty to Wisconsin’s alcohol beverage industry, and ensure Wisconsinites have access to the quality drinking water and mental health services they deserve.”
In total, 26 bills were approved by the Senate, 20 appointments were made to various committees, and six resolutions were voted on.
Also of note, Governor Tony Evers has stated that he intends to sign the Milwaukee Brewers Bill.
The Senators will now return home as their work is done for the fall session. The Senate will reconvene in January of next year.
