Despite concerns raised by test scores revealing 60% of Wisconsin students performing below grade level in reading and math, only 21 school districts in the state fail to meet the state’s expectations.
The Department of Public Instruction released school and district report cards, showing that out of 378 public school districts, 357 either met or exceeded expectations.
Quinton Klabon from the Institute for Reforming Government raised questions, pointing out instances where schools meeting expectations still had only 12% of students reading at grade level.
