A home in Fond du Lac caught fire last night (November 14th).
According to the Fond du Lac Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the residence in the 100 block of West McWilliams Street at around 10:30 p.m.
Crews arrived to find flames on the porch and plants on one side of the house and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
All residents had exited the home before firefighters arrived, allowing them to jump into action immediately.
While the damage cost estimate has not yet been released, we do know the fire is being blamed on the improper disposal of smoking materials.
