A De Pere man is facing numerous charges after he allegedly resisted arrest and attempted to take an officer’s taser.
According to police reports, an officer was in the area of Fay Court at around 4:00 Saturday evening (November 11th) when they saw 36-year-old Andrew Wolslegel.
Wolslegel has a history with law enforcement, and when the officer attempted to follow him, Wolslegel continued to drive, avoiding the officer.
He did return to the area a short time later and parked his car. When officers approached him for driving with a revoked license, Wolslegel refused to obey orders and attempted to walk away.
An officer pulled out his taser and fired it, but Wolslegel continued to resist, knocking the taser out of the officer’s hand.
Wolslegel took the taser and pointed it at the officer, who was able to get it back before being shot with it.
Wolslegel was eventually taken into custody on charges of Disarming a Peace Officer, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver, Resisting, and Operating While Revoked.
