Three Sheboygan residents are without a home following a fire over the weekend.
According to Captain Kurt Miller with the Sheboygan Fire Department, crews were called to the Country Village Apartment Complex on Autumn Court just before 7:00 Sunday evening on a report of a stove fire.
A total of nine units from Sheboygan and several from the surrounding communities arrived on the scene to find what was described as a “heavily involved kitchen fire”.
The blaze was quickly extinguished, and the incident was cleared by 8:45 p.m.
No injuries were reported, however, the incident caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
Captain Miller is reminding residents to evacuate buildings when fire alarms are going off even if they don’t believe you are in immediate danger.
