A Le Valle man has been sentenced to five years of probation for his involvement in a scam that resulted in $370,000 in losses for Amazon.
Christian Wink engaged in a scheme from 2017 to 2020, where he ordered and returned items to Amazon over three thousand times, substituting lower-value items when seeking refunds.
He also failed to pay taxes on the money obtained through this fraudulent activity.
Instead of a prison term, Wink received probation due to his documented history of mental illness, especially during the period of the crimes.
