One of the two men arrested for the 2021 shooting death of Benzel Rose has been sentenced.
24-year-old Julius Freeman was ordered to spend the rest of his life in prison, with a possibility of parole after 35 years, after previously being convicted of First Degree Intentional Homicide with Use of a Dangerous Weapon and Armed Robbery with Use of Force, each as Party to the Crime.
Freeman and Eric Perry were arrested after the duo took cash and a weapon from Rose before Perry shot him in the head on October 17th, 2021.
Perry is due in court in March of next year for a seven-day jury trial as he also faces charges of First Degree Intentional Homicide with Use of a Dangerous Weapon and Armed Robbery with Use of Force, each as Party to the Crime.
