
An Illinois man has been sentenced to 59 years in prison for shooting and injuring a Kenosha County police dog in 2021.
Allan Brown, a convicted felon wanted in connection to a carjacking and homicide in Chicago, was spotted by Kenosha County deputies at a Bristol gas station.
After an encounter, Brown fled, prompting deputies to release a police dog, leading to a pursuit.
During the chase, Brown shot K9 Riggs in the head.
The K9 made a full recovery and is currently in good health.
