Milwaukee’s police chief, Jeffrey Norman, is on the road to recovery following a collision on the city’s northwest side.
Chief Norman was transported to the hospital wearing a neck brace after a collision at the intersection of 68th and Silver Spring.
According to witnesses, the chief’s SUV was struck from behind by a dump truck. Another police officer also sustained injuries in the accident.
Milwaukee Police have reported that both the chief and the other officer were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
It’s worth noting that Chief Norman had just concluded a news conference with Milwaukee’s mayor on the subject of reckless driving crashes before the accident occurred.
