Dorothe A. Jarosh, age 99, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Dorothe was born on April 6, 1924 in Manitowoc, to the late Frank and Ann (Kostechka) Kutil. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1941. On September 14, 1946 Dorothe married William Jarosh at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2013. Dorothe had enjoyed working as a secretary at Manitowoc Shipbuilding and Aluminum Specialty. After her career, she took great pride in being a homemaker. Dorthe enjoyed spending her time travelling, reading, and camping with her husband at State Parks throughout Wisconsin. Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jim, and the family Golden Retrievers. Dorothe was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include Dorothe’s daughter, Nancy (Jim) Schiegg, Oshkosh; a special cousin, Eunice Zelinski, Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. Dorothe was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ann Kutil; husband, William; and sister, Elinor Marks.
In respect with the family’s wishes, private memorial services will be held at Calvary Mausoleum Chapel at a later date. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Dorothe’s cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery alongside her husband, William.
