Letter carriers in Milwaukee are calling for increased safety measures to protect postal workers during their duties, in light of recent incidents of mail thefts, armed robberies of postal employees, and a fatal attack on a mailman.
The postal workers’ union organized a rally to urge the Post Office to take further steps to ensure the safety of mail carriers who often feel like targets.
This rally coincides with the approaching holiday season, which is typically the busiest time of the year for the Post Office.
