Those who are involved in Sheboygan County’s Alternative to Incarceration program will now have an easier time getting around.
The program, which is also known as the Electronic Monitoring Program, received a donation of 240 day passes for the Sheboygan Metro Bus system from an anonymous source.
The program is an alternative to traditional incarceration where an electronic monitor, or ankle bracelet, is placed on the individual.
Only low-risk offenders qualify for the program, however, some have had their driving privileges revoked by the court.
With these passes, getting to and from work and other important appointments will be much easier as these individuals attempt to be functioning members of society.
