A recent shredding event in Sheboygan is being deemed a big success.
Consumer Credit Counseling Service held the event on October 28th, and a total of two tons of confidential documents were destroyed.
The two-hour event also raised a total of $900 to help CCCS provide financial education to individuals throughout Sheboygan and Sheboygan County.
The FTC received over 1.1 million reports of identity theft in 2022, and over 8,000 of those came from Wisconsin.
This shred event helped keep personal information out of the hands of scammers and the local population just a little safer.
