A Manitowoc man is facing a litany of charges after he allegedly pinned a woman to the ground and strangled her.
Officers were sent to a home in the 1400 Block of Clark Street on Halloween to investigate a report of a domestic incident.
While there they spoke with the victim, who explained that she was at the man’s home, when he snapped and started attacking her.
She accused the 26-year-old man of choking her on and off for about an hour, and wouldn’t let her leave.
The victim says she tried to fight him off, but he pinned her arms down by kneeling on her biceps while wrapping his hands around her neck.
Visible injuries were found on the victim that were consistent with the story.
The suspect was taken into custody and is facing charges of Disorderly Conduct and Substantial Battery, each with domestic violence enhancers, as well as Strangulation and Suffocation, False Imprisonment, Criminal Damage to Property, and Felony Bail Jumping.
