The owner of Scare USA in Two Rivers is now facing fewer charges.
37-year-old John Schwarz was initially facing charges of Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child, Sexual Intercourse with a Child 16 or older, Exposing Genitals to a Child, and one count each of 3rd and 4th Degree Sexual Assault, however, the sexual assault charges have been dropped.
The reason they were dropped is because the statute of limitations had expired on those particular crimes, as they both occurred in 2017 and 2018.
In light of the dropped charges, Schwarz’s attorney requested his bail be lowered, however, Judge Jerylin Dietz said that the $50,000 bond remains appropriate.
Schwarz was arrested earlier this month after it was learned that he had allegedly had sexual contact with several underage volunteers at Scare USA.
The Two Rivers Police Department has stated that they believe there are more victims who have yet to step forward.
