In La Crosse, one of the two individuals implicated in a triple murder case has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Khamthaneth Rattanasack pled guilty to his involvement in the crime of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.
This plea agreement ensures Rattanasack will receive a mandatory 20-year prison sentence, as opposed to a mandatory life imprisonment term.
Rattanasack cooperated with authorities by providing testimony against his co-defendant, Nya Thao, although the outcome of Thao’s trial resulted in a hung jury.
The two men were accused of fatally shooting three individuals at a rock quarry in the La Crosse area during a drug transaction gone awry.
