
The Two Rivers Raiders were able to shut out another opponent to move on in the WIAA Division 4 Football Tournament by beating the Campbellsport Cougars 35-0 last night at Ron Rubick Field.
The game was moved to Rubick because the field conditions at Jerry Bonino Field in TR.
Max Mathias got the night started with a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
After that, Quarterback Justin Klinkner did a lot of work completing 8 of his 14 pass attempts with three TD passes.
His longest was a 63-yarder to Max.
Chase Mathias had a quiet night running, only scoring one TD in the game for the Raiders and rushing for 100 yards, which is low compared to regular season rushing.
Campbellsport did a lot of their work on the ground rushing for 207 yards total in the game on 45 attempts.
TR finished with a total of 376 yards total.
On defense, Justin Klinkner had the most tackles with 9 followed by Chase with 8, and Max and Derek Klinkner tied with 6.
Two Rivers will now go on to face Luxemburg-Casco after the Spartans took down the Kiel Raiders 41-0.
Kiel finishes the season with an 8-3 regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs.
They also finished second behind TR in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference.
