The driving forces behind the passage of Dillon’s Law in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Indiana were in Washington D.C. this week to push for a federal version of the measure.
Angel and George Mueller of Mishicot are the parents of Dillon Mueller, who passed away in 2014 from an allergic reaction to a bee sting.
Since then, Angel and George have been working to educate the public on anaphylaxis and epinephrine and have been pushing for legislation to make getting and using auto-injectors easier for good Samaritans.
The duo met with Congressman Glenn Grothman at his office in Washington D.C. to discuss the legislation he crafted and is pushing for in Congress.
Grothman said of the measure, “By making epinephrine more readily available, we can ensure no parent has to endure the loss of a child in the event of a life-threatening allergic reaction due to anaphylaxis. I am honored to continue to work hand-in-hand with Dillon’s parents, Angel and George Mueller, who are diligently promoting how Dillon’s Law can play a pivotal role in saving lives across the nation.”
