A Green Bay woman is facing charges after she allegedly burned her child with a curling iron.
Ellie Sheehan has been charged with Physical Abuse of a Child with a High Probability of Causing Great Harm and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
Police were called after Sheehan brought her 17-month-old child to a local hospital with her mother.
The child had blisters on her feet from what Sheehan said she believed was from boots that were too small.
These blisters were eventually determined to be deep, second-degree burns that appeared to have been caused intentionally.
A curling iron in the home was found to match the size and shape of the burns, and the child tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine, and acetone.
Sheehan blamed her mother for the incident, but her mother accused her right back.
Sheehan was ultimately arrested and is due back in court on October 27th for a status conference before her preliminary hearing on November 3rd.
