Kwik Trip has confirmed that a cyberattack was responsible for the week-long disruption to its computer systems.
The company disclosed that a “cybersecurity incident” on October 9th incapacitated their computer infrastructure.
Efforts to trace the source of the hack are ongoing but have not yet yielded any results.
The breach notably incapacitated Kwik Trip’s rewards program, although the company announced its restoration.
However, the Kwik Trip app and the company’s website remain offline.
