The Wisconsin State Patrol is once again telling drivers to hit the deer.
Troopers have issued their annual warning about deer-related accidents.
According to the State Patrol, there were 16,000 deer-related crashes in the state last year.
While avoiding deer is the ideal course of action, they recommend hitting a deer instead of swerving at high speeds or swerving and hitting a tree.
If unable to avoid a collision with a deer, the State Patrol recommends slowing down as much as possible before impact.
