Mildred A. Sheraski, age 95, a resident of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at The Court at Felician Village.
Milly was born on May 30, 1928 in Kewaunee County to the late Leo and Blanche (Valenta) Koenig. She attended grade school in Maple Grove. On February 8, 1950, Milly married Carl Sheraski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Carl preceded her in death on January 14, 1990. Milly was employed at several industrial businesses for 42 years, however, her longest employment was with Imperial Eastman from where she retired after 24 years of service. She truly enjoyed her home that she lived in for 70 years, and kept her place meticulous inside and out. Milly also took great pride in her flowers and outside decorating in her yard. Above all, she enjoyed all of her get togethers with family and friends. You all know who you are! Milly was a member of St. Francis of Assisi.
Survivors include Milly’s son, Doug (Kris) Sheraski, Springfield, MO; daughter, Debra Mrozinski and her special friend, Doug Schmidt, Manitowoc; granddaughter, Kim (Dick) Behnke, Manitowoc; two very much loved great grandsons, Travis (Anna) Behnke and Dylan Behnke, Manitowoc; great great granddaughter, Isla Behnke; sister, Yvonne Evenson, Scottsdale, AZ; special niece, Christy Wavernek; special cousin, Norbert (Shirley) Christoph, also other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Milly was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Blanche Koenig; husband, Carl; brother and sister-in-law, Leo (Betty) Koenig Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille (Robert) Yanda; brother-in-law, Danny Evenson; son-in-law, Jack Mrozinski; and an infant sister, Barbara Koenig.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Matthew Colle. A reception for family and friends will then follow at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with entombment of Milly’s cremated remains at Calvary Mausoleum. Milly’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Court of Felician Village – especially Jeremy, Melissa (you are the best!), Holly, Michell, Ellen and Tammy who held a special place in her heart and helped immensely. Mary, Rose Mary, Keri, Stacey, Dottie, Dominique, Prinetta, and Terri … thank you so much, you were all great and caring.
