The man who shot at a Brown County woman in July of last year has been convicted.
28-year-old Joseph Vandertie was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of First-Degree Reckless Injury while charges of Attempted Homicide and Battery were dismissed but read into the record.
Vandertie was arrested after he shot a female at a residence in the 1000 block of Alta Street in the Village of Howard.
He had fled the scene, but witnesses were able to positively identify Vandertie as the shooter.
Later that day he was located and apprehended without incident.
His sentencing hearing will take place on March 8th.
