A weekend incident of domestic violence in Racine has taken a tragic turn, resulting in a deadly shooting, according to investigators.
The local police report details that Cash’Juan Butler was compelled to use lethal force, shooting and killing a man who was physically assaulting his female roommate.
Butler explained to law enforcement that the man he shot had thrown him down a flight of stairs during their altercation.
Following this altercation, Butler left the scene to retrieve a firearm and subsequently returned, ultimately shooting and fatally injuring the man.
Law enforcement authorities subsequently apprehended Butler over the weekend, and he is anticipated to face charges related to homicide stemming from this case.
