Jane M. Meindl, age 75 of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc County.
Jane was born on November 17, 1947 in Two Rivers daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Palzer) Buchner. She attended schools in Two Rivers and graduated with the class of 1966 from Washington High School. On November 4, 1967 Jane married Jack E. Meindl at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. She was employed in the Accounting Department at Paragon Electric, and as an administrative assistant at Brey, Stuewe and Brown, also as a Community Development Assistant for Rural Development. Jane was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and served with the Hospitality Ministry and Prayer Shawl Ministry. Jane was also a member of Patch of Lakeshore Quilt Guild. She was a volunteer at Holy Family Hospital in the mail room and various other tasks. Jane enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband: Jack E. Meindl, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Jeff (Kathy) Meindl, IL; one brother and sister-in-law: John (Judy) Buchner, FL; sister-in-law: Bonnie Meyer, Marshfield; brother-in-law: Lloyd Ciha, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Florence Buchner; one sister; Judy Waier; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Eunice (Bob) Engert, Virgene Ciha, Jerry Waier.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon on Friday, October 13, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Waldo Site, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Doug LeCaptain will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 12 noon.
